Palkeet strengthens its operations through enterprise architecture development

IQI is supporting the Finnish Government Shared Services Centre for Finance and HR (Palkeet) in its enterprise architecture development.

The collaboration focuses on defining the target architecture and implementation roadmap for Palkeet’s financial and HR administration services and data-driven management for the period 2024–2030. A significant part of the assignment involves establishing the metrics and processes required to monitor and analyse the development of the enterprise architecture and progress towards its objectives.

The aim is to integrate enterprise architecture development effectively into Palkeet’s operational planning and development processes.

Enterprise architecture development focused on measurable benefits

The assignment consists of two main areas. The first is developing the enterprise architecture and defining its target state. The second is continuously measuring, monitoring and analysing the identified benefits throughout the development process.

The work focuses particularly on defining the expected benefits, collecting relevant performance data regularly and implementing corrective measures when necessary. This systematic approach is intended to ensure that the development delivers sustainable, long-term value for Palkeet.

Integrating enterprise architecture into everyday operations

The assignment also includes recommendations for processes that support the effective use of and compliance with the architecture, as well as definitions for interfaces between different processes.

This strengthens the integration of enterprise architecture into Palkeet’s operational planning and development, service management and project delivery. The collaboration represents an important step towards a more mature enterprise architecture that supports Palkeet’s future plans and operational requirements.
