Siili Solutions strengthened its AI capabilities in project management with IQI

The aim was not to learn how to use new AI tools, but to gain a deeper understanding of how AI is changing project planning, project leadership and team collaboration, while inspiring participants to explore the use of AI in project management more extensively.

IQI delivered the AI-Driven Project Excellence training programme for Siili. The programme progressed from project initiation and blueprinting to project delivery and governance, before moving on to team leadership and change management in the age of AI.

The programme covered topics including AI-assisted planning, critically challenging project assumptions and the division of responsibilities between people and AI.

The training consisted of three separate modules. Between the modules, participants applied what they had learned to their own work and experimented with using AI in real customer projects. These experiences were discussed in the subsequent modules, ensuring that the training remained closely connected to the participants’ day-to-day project work.

The training strengthened Siili’s overall capability to deliver software solutions

One of the key insights from the training was that the value of AI does not come from speed alone. AI can rapidly generate alternatives, analyses and initial drafts, but understanding the project context, assessing quality and making decisions remain human responsibilities.

At the same time, bottlenecks in project work are shifting from execution to decision-making, approval, quality, trust and people’s ability to work together effectively.

The programme also explored the practical requirements for using AI in customer environments. Data, data protection, access rights, integrations and the customer’s operating practices all have a decisive impact on how extensively AI can be used in real project work.

“AI is challenging established delivery models, which is why developing the AI capabilities of our project professionals is extremely important to us. I believe the training further strengthened Siili’s overall capability to deliver AI-based software solutions to its customers and brought the AI capabilities of both Siili and our project professionals to the required level.”

According to IQI trainer Mika Purola, developing the training programme together with Siili has been highly rewarding.

“The best part of the collaboration has been that we have looked beyond individual AI tools and explored together what AI is genuinely changing in project management.”

“It has been particularly valuable to see participants apply what they have learned to their own customer work between the modules and bring those experiences back into the shared discussion. This ensures that the training does not remain theoretical, but enables new ways of working to be explored through real project work.”
